Autism Evaluations & Therapy for Adults Navigating Late Diagnosis, Identity, and Daily Functioning
I specialize in working with adults who suspect they may be on the autism spectrum, including those who have spent years masking or feeling misunderstood. Through comprehensive autism evaluations and therapy, I help clients gain clarity, self-understanding, and practical strategies for daily life.
Amanda is a leading expert in counseling clients with autism. She holds a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist designation in addition to state licensure for counseling in Texas where she is a supervisor (LPCS) for newly licensed professional counselor associates. Additionally, Amanda specializes in treating women with complex trauma. The focus of her therapeutic practice is intentionally focused on these two populations.

Individual Therapy
Therapy is available for adults seeking deeper self-understanding, emotional regulation, and practical support in navigating daily life.
My work is especially well-suited for individuals who:
-
Are navigating a recent autism diagnosis or self-identification
-
Experience sensory sensitivities, burnout, or overwhelm
-
Have a history of masking or difficulty feeling understood by others
-
Are working through trauma or identity development
Therapy with me is structured, insight-oriented, and tailored to your unique needs. Together, we focus on building awareness, developing sustainable strategies, and creating meaningful change that aligns with how your brain and body function.
Due to the nature of my practice, therapy availability is limited.

Autism Diagnostic Evaluation
This service is designed for adults who are questioning whether they may be on the autism spectrum, including those who have spent years masking, feeling misunderstood, or navigating life without clear answers.
Clients often come to this process after years of wondering, researching, or feeling that something has been overlooked.
Through a comprehensive and individualized evaluation process, you will gain:
-
A clear diagnostic understanding
-
A detailed written report
-
Personalized recommendations for work, school, and daily functioning
This process is collaborative, respectful, and grounded in a deep understanding of how autism presents in adults, including those who may not fit traditional or childhood-based diagnostic profiles.

Expert Consultation
Consultation services are available for professionals, organizations, and caregivers seeking specialized insight into autism in adults and young adults.
This may include:
-
Case consultation for clinicians
-
Guidance on supporting autistic individuals in academic or workplace settings
-
Training or education related to autism, sensory needs, and executive functioning
-
Transitional living planning for young adults with varying abilities and needs (college, residential, cohabitation, etc.)
Consultation is tailored, practical, and grounded in both clinical expertise and current research.
This is not generalist work. My practice is intentionally focused on autism in adults, particularly those who have gone unrecognized or unsupported for much of their lives.
I specialize in working with:
-
Adults exploring or receiving an autism diagnosis
-
College students adjusting to independence with ASD
-
High-masking individuals who have felt misunderstood
-
Professionals seeking expert consultation and guidance
My approach is both clinical and deeply informed by current research, including my doctoral work focused on autism in higher education. I integrate this knowledge with practical, real-world strategies to support meaningful and sustainable change.
Clients and professionals seek my services when they are looking for clarity, depth, and specialized expertise—not a one-size-fits-all approach.

I aim to provide a clear, structured, and supportive experience from initial inquiry through ongoing work together. New clients can reach out through the contact form, and I will follow up with the next steps based on the service you are seeking.
